ifoh designs: Information Foragers Of Hyperlinks & Designs

It has been a little while since I wrote a post that I felt strongly about, but I just had to bring this up because it has been bothering me for quite some time now. The problem at hand is the “Tag Cloud”. Nine out of Ten times I see one I want to cry. I can’t leave the page fast enough. Is this what Web2.0 is all about? Folksonomy gone bad? WHY! I think that 2008 is turning out to be “the year of the coffee cup”, and a little bit of 2007 as well. Anyway, amongst the other web trends out there, this is one that dawned on me the other day, the coffee cup! Here is a small list I started of 26 sites that use coffee cups in their layout:
