Flash is not sexy or so they say

Catchy title, hot topic, one main goal. Delivering content to our audiences in the most logical, and accessible manner possible. When you break it down, Flash, and Web Developers alike are both, or should I say, should both be in the business of designing pages and applications for the end user is the easiest fashion.

Dealing with spam

Who enjoys being overrun by spam on a day-to-day basis? Raise your hands…Bueller, Bueller, Bueller. No one? Ok, just as I thought. No one enjoys spam, except for possibly spammers sending the junk, but I do not think anyone particularly enjoys receiving, or combating it (yes you do, sexxy poker island cruise sluts). So with the obvious out of the way, we move on to accepting the fact that it is going to be there no matter what, but what can we do to stop it?

Having a selected state

How important is it to have a “selected”, or “current” state for your navigation you might ask? Extremely. Ok, and how often do you see sites that leave this feature out, only to cause a huge thumbs-down for usability? Far, far too often. So often in fact it gives me chills, and nightmares thinking about the reasoning the designer might go through when deciding to opt out…I only hope their reasoning does not have anything to do with being lazy.
