The Holiday Season is upon us once again, and that would mean one thing. It is time to celebrate and give thanks to those who have helped us out, in any way, shape, or form. I would like to take a moment and give thanks to a few people.
First and foremost, my readers.
Secondly here are a few designers/bloggers/websites that have inspired me in one way or another this year:
There are literally thousands more that I could name, without blinking an eye. To all of you though, I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and Holiday Season. Keep up the great work!
If you wish to share some thanks, to the many that I have missed, please go right ahead and feel free to do so now in the comments section!

Hello Friday. I have missed you. Hopefully you have too because of course, Friday is the day for the Friday’s Five. This is a series in which I pick my favorite 5: logos, websites, blog posts, photographs, and illustrations that inspired me throughout the week.
This one is long overdue, so please excuse my ignorance if you have already come across these, as they are not in fact from this past week, but, never the less an excellent resource for inspiration.

I thought it would be nice to share some inspiring photos, along with some great color pallets that work with them. I’ve included the hex codes for each set to make it easier for you. Also, feel free to tweak them to your liking. Thanks to the great photographers over at photosig for their excellent work!

Hello all. It has been a very, very…did I say very??? Very long time since my last real post. All I can say is:
IT IS GOOD TO BE BACK!
How have you all been?
So, what do you think of the new layout? Be honest, and also, if you notice a bug or an issue, please let me know!
Now, time for me to get cracking on some new material. Enjoy your weekend.

Hey everyone, I am sorry I have been seriously slacking lately, but I am working on a redesign for this site. It is coming along nicely, in fact, very nicely if I may permit myself to say. The next couple weeks are going to be slow around here. I have a few posts on the back burner that I will try to get out.
Thanks for your patience, and keep checking back for more updates!

Which layout will work best here? How should I go about leaving room for ads/sponsors? What if there is not enough room for images/content? All these things run through our heads when we are deciding on a layout for a new project. Some of them have become easier to answer than others, but the question still remains…What is better, a two or three column layout?

Just a quick little news update. I just added an archive page to the site, hopefully this will make browsing a little easier until I am finished with the redesign. Anyway, if you feel like it, it is there.
Oh, and I also removed the work page from the site, since I am working on separating this blog from my personal portfolio. More updates to come soon!

Knock, Knock…
I did a roundup a while back on sites that used coffee in their theme, 26 of them in fact, and it had a nice response, so today I decided to give you 26 more sites that use wood as a texture in their layout. You have probably seen some of these before, but hopefully there are some that you haven’t. As I stated in my previous roundup, I am not saying I love cliches, but some of these are better than others. What do you think, is this just another trend, or a great design choice? Or does it depend on the site?

In more ways than one, in fact, by adhering to shared and common practices for developing accessible Web content, you will save money! There is no question about it. How you might ask? Others may say…”yeah yeah yeah, we have heard it all before, same old…I know this, goodbye!”, in any respect let’s take a closer look at just how we can save, and make money.
Microsoft cut a hole in your pocket and is stealing your change, then sending you a check bi-weekly
This is not going to be a flame on Microsoft, so sorry if you wanted it to be, and you’re welcome if you are relieved. What I am going to say is that as a designer…
I want to make IE6 into a person at some times, and urinate on their shoes.
Even still, at other times I want to say “thanks for the job”.
